LINE UPS

my line ups.
all work i do is digital.except the illustrations.i usually do them by hand and then manupilate them digitally.
I must say however that this semester saw me give the worst illustrations ever.was not really pleased wit my work in over all.poor time management which i plan on improving.

technical line up of the designs
final 5.

MOODBOARDS

my collection was based on music and contemporary dance was the main inspirations.
this is my concept board.it is the first thing i thought of when i was thinking
of my emotion which was freedom then i changed it to grace.
i love tailored clothes.

consumer board.well what can i say.the life i want to live.really.

line and shape board.shows the shape development of the designs
and how it is will look like.
its like a skeleton.

teture board.contrasting fabrics.mainly silk like fabrics.

colour board.speaks for itself  i think.

FINAL PHOOTS

i choose to do a magazine spread instead of a lookbook.
my consumer was a fashion editor so it was appropriate anyway.
magazine cover

living the fast life litterary from the office to the party
from the boardroom.

styled photographs of the dress and how it worn.

PHOTOSHOOT

the final photoshoot.the dress looks beautiful.
ofcourse so does the model.the colours bring out her paleness and guess what she has red hair.
shame my first model let me down.
be careful of models.once they know they are wanted they start bitching an it aint right.
anyway that aside......

i paired it up with a blazer since it was autumn winter
2013/2014

the guy was to complement the dress make.

had to do my own hair and makeup
topstiched the edges with gold thread.

the waist line was curvy.hard to achieve.

THE GARMENT IN PROGRESS

so i missplaced my toiles.honestly cannot find them anywhere.they are gone.like gone really gone..''sniff''.a
any way i have some close ups of the orrigimnal in the making.i did a great job though the shirrinng was most rebellious.but i managed to get a good dress.

this is the bottom of the dress in the side seam.its properly shirred now.

the bodice before i put it together.the lines were nice and clean.i want
to beat victoria's clothes in terms of make.i hear hers are exquisite  on the
inside as they are on the outside.

the back f the dress without the neck shirring.a pretty low back .

please ignore the bed.that is the almost complete dress now.starting to look
really good.

right in the process of shirring there garment.

how it really looks like on the body.

THE PATTERNS

well did an all nighter yesterday.finally made my patterns.so proud of my self.hope they will work though.

this is both the center front and center back of the design.
i did a skirt with an extra flare and exagerated the flare.an figuring it will flare out alot at the back and at the sides.
had to use masking tape.to attatch other pieces that i forgot.i still  have to cut out the curved waist  though.

you have to name your patterns.the title, the type of skirt, the size, the side, and any specifications.
dont forget the grain line.it is very important.

that is my top pattern.its symetriacal .ihavent done that back.ill measure that once my toile is done.

you have to add notch points so that you know where the pieces  come together.
ive learned this the hard way.you really have to use notch points.

my dart.hope i will not look weired on the garment.

MAKING MY FINAL GARMENT

My rough sketch of it.
i am planning on using polyester on the top..yes its panneled and i will put piping to give the illusion of a tux.
its kinda sexy and can be worn with a blazer.well i started the shape toile.and so far.....

dont mind the bottles back there i need all the energy trust me.

i did a flared skirt and added a piece on the side an it looked like a godet skirt.i want it really flared like very flared.

the top is panneled as you can see.and has darts on the breast.dont think that its a good idea.

i want to make something like this by victoria bekham
